Diversity

Diversity and inclusion are at the core of who we are and how we do business. Our team includes talented individuals from all walks of life. But its not just about our people – it’s about ideas and the ability to communicate those ideas. We are at our best when we are ourselves working together and delivering for our clients.

At Kingfields we’re committed to eliminating discrimination and promoting equality and diversity in our policies, practices and procedures.

We promote a culture that includes the whole firm. Everyone has the opportunity to excel their career path. Fostering diversity and inclusion allows us to build the most efficient teams that deliver the highest level of client service and contribute efficiently to our local communities. As a matter of law, we must comply with the requirements set out in legislation, including the Equality Act 2010, as well as to conduct duties contained in the Code of Conduct.

This means everyone at the firm is expected and required to treat all others equally and with the same attention, courtesy and respect, regardless of their age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, civil partnership, pregnancy, maternity, race, racial group, colour, ethnic origin, nationality, political opinion, religion or other belief.

We encourage equality of opportunity and respect for diversity in our relationships with members of staff, shareholders, other solicitors, barristers, clients, and all other third parties. It’s essential that everyone adheres to this policy. And to ensure this happens we have a compliance officer who is responsible for the administration of the policy. In addition, all staff members receive training on the policy as part of the induction training programme, and it’s reviewed annually to ensure it’s efficient operation.

We are required to annually collect, report and publish data on the diversity of our workforce. This data is available on request.
